Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kyushu Area
Izumo Taisha (Shimane Prefecture)
The gods gather on the other side of the "Oshimenawa"
A journey to receive the power of wonderful encounters...

(Image)
Izumo Taisha is a shrine located in Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture, and is the "Ichinomiya of Izumo Province." It goes without saying that it is one of Japan's most famous shrines.
Many other gods are enshrined here, including Okuninushi no Okami, the god who symbolizes the earth.
According to Japanese mythology, when Okuninushi-no-Mikoto was asked by Amaterasu-Oomikami to "give up the country," in return he asked for a palace as large as one for the heavenly grandson to live in. This is said to be the beginning of Izumo Taisha.
Oct. of the lunar calendar (current Oct.) is generally called "Kannazuki," but in Shimane Prefecture it is called "Kamiarizuki."
The eight million gods from all over Japan gather at Izumo Taisha to discuss the events of the year, so it was thought that there would be no gods outside of Izumo, and so the month was called "Kannazuki." On the other hand, Shimane Prefecture is home to many gods, so the month was called "Kamiarizuki."
The symbol of Izumo Taisha is the "Large Shimenawa" (rice rope) at the Kagura Hall. It is the largest shimenawa in Japan, measuring 13.5 meters in length, 8 meters in width, and weighing 4.4 tons! This shimenawa separates the "sacred area" from the "secular world," and is an essential part of any shrine.
Be overwhelmed by the size of the shimenawa rope, and take your time to worship at Izumo Taisha using the unique ritual of "two bows, four claps, one bow."
Izumo Taisha is said to have a strong energy that can be felt throughout its grounds, as if many gods have gathered and are discussing something about us.
This shrine is also famous for being the god of matchmaking. It is said that it is not only for love, but also for important connections between people.
Why not go and meet the gods of Izumo in search of power from the many gods and wonderful encounters?

Itsukushima Shrine (Hiroshima Prefecture)
The two great powers of the giant torii gate floating in the sea and the sacred mountain "Mt. Misen"
To the World Heritage Site "Ryugu Miyagi"...

(Image)
Itsukushima Shrine is a shrine located on Miyajima in Hatsukaichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture.
It has a history of 1400 years and is the head shrine of Itsukushima Shrine, of which there are approximately 500 shrines across Japan.
Commonly known as "Aki no Miyajima," it is one of the "Three Most Scenic Spots of Japan" along with Amanohashidate and Matsushima, and is also registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (cultural heritage).
The 16-meter-tall vermilion-painted large torii gate floating on the sea can be seen at a glance from far away, and the magnificent vermilion-painted main hall spreading out behind it has a rare charm among Japanese shrine architecture.
At low tide you can walk up to the large torii gate, but at high tide the seawater surges up to the main hall, creating a beautiful scene that looks like Dragon Miyagi floating on the sea.
The sacred object of Itsukushima Shrine is the island itself. Since ancient times, the island itself has been worshipped as a god.
It is said that you can feel the power of the sea in front and the sacred mountain, Mt. Misen, towering behind it, no matter where you are in the shrine.
In particular, the sacred mountain of Mount Misen is said to be a place of strong spiritual power, where Kobo Daishi is said to have practiced. It is said that the area near the summit has the strongest energy, and many people head to the summit in search of that power.
Why did they build a shrine in the middle of the sea?
We hope you will come to this idyllic island where deer play and experience the power of the sea and mountains to the fullest while taking in the beautiful and mysterious scenery.
Club Tourism also offers tours that include Accommodation on Miyajima. Please come along and take advantage of the opportunity!

Aso (Kumamoto Prefecture)
Let's go to Kumamoto, the land of fire! Spreading with smoke
The intense energy of an active volcano!

(Image)
While Kyushu as a whole is said to be a land with strong energy, Aso is said to be a land with particularly strong "vibrations."
Aso is an active volcano in Kumamoto Prefecture. Its common name is "Aso," and its official name is "Five Peaks of Aso." It has one of the world's largest calderas (large depressions created by volcanic activity), and is beloved as a symbol of Kumamoto Prefecture, also known as the "Land of Fire."
At the base of the mountain lies a vast caldera basin, and Kusasenri, where cows and horses graze, is a popular tourist destination.
Looking up at Aso from below, you can sense its all-encompassing grandeur, but the closer you get to the crater, the more violent the vibrations and powerful energy seem to surge in. When volcanic activity is calm, you can get close to the crater and view it, but it is still an active volcano, and access to the area around the crater is restricted when activity intensifies or toxic gases are released.
Its power is said to be the greatest in Japan, and you can feel its power not only near the crater, but also by Accommodation overnight in the hot spring town at the base of Aso.

Takachiho Gorge (Miyazaki Prefecture)
Head to the mythical valley where the powerful power of water and magma emanates...

(Image)
Takachiho Gorge is a gorge in Miyazaki Prefecture that has been designated as a national scenic spot and natural monument.
This beautiful "V-shaped canyon" was formed by volcanic activity at Aso, with cliffs reaching heights of 80 to 100 meters stretching for 7 km, creating a mysterious atmosphere.
It is a scenic spot that can be enjoyed all year round; the fresh greenery in summer and the autumn leaves are magnificent, and the sight of Manai Falls, one of the "100 Best Waterfalls of Japan," cascading down the ravine with a drop of 17 meters, is powerful.
If you go a little further, you will find the land of Takachiho, where the world of myths related to the legend of the descent of the heavenly grandson spreads out, such as Amanoiwato Shrine and Takachiho Shrine. Although it is invisible to the naked eye, the power of the waterfall and the power of volcanic magma combine in the beautiful valley, making it a powerful power spot. Please visit it once.
