Hokkaido Shinkansen

Opened on Mar. 26, 2016. The fastest journey between Tokyo and Shin-Hakodate Hokuto takes just 3 hours and 57 minutes!
The carriages are based on the green of the E5 series, with a purple central stripe reminiscent of Hokkaido 's signature lavender.

The Hokuriku Shinkansen will be extended from Kanazawa to Tsuruga on Mar. 16, 2024. Hokuriku will now be even closer to Tokyo!
We also offer tours using Green Car and Gran Class.

The E5 series, with its long nose and sharp, unique shape, continues to enjoy strong popularity even today.

Akita Shinkansen "Komachi" connects Tokyo and Akita in as little as 3 hours and 37 minutes.
The E6 series' "madder red" body, which is an adaptation of the red color that is an integral part of Akita culture, such as the lights of the lanterns at the Kanto Festival and the Namahage masks, is a stunning sight.

The E8 Series (Tsubasa) will debut on Mar. 16, 2024! It reduces lateral shaking even at high speeds, improving ride comfort. In addition, to provide a comfortable travel space, AC 100V outlets are installed under the armrests of all seats. We have promoted barrier-free in-car facilities by providing three wheelchair spaces for handle-type electric wheelchairs, a multipurpose toilet (barrier-free toilet), and a multipurpose room. There are two types of seats: ordinary cars and green cars.

Joetsu Shinkansen

It opened in 1982 and runs from Omiya Station to Niigata Station, though it actually goes all the way to Tokyo Station.
It was the first Shinkansen line to connect the Pacific side of Honshu with the Sea of Japan side, and until the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen in 2015, it served as an important means of access to major cities on the Sea of Japan side.

This is a shinkansen line that connects Tokyo Station to Shin-Osaka Station, but since many trains run directly to the Sanyo Shinkansen, it is also called the "Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen."
It was Japan's first Shinkansen, which opened in 1964, and was also the world's first high-speed railway at the time.

The Sanyo/Kyushu direct shinkansen "N700 series" will connect Shin-Osaka to Kagoshima-Chuo in as little as 3 hours and 42 minutes, and Hakata to Kagoshima-Chuo in as little as 1 hour and 17 minutes.
It features a smooth body that shines blue-white like celadon porcelain, and the interior, made up of warm wood and woven fabric in a subdued color scheme, is simple yet luxurious.
The Kyushu Shinkansen "800 Series" features luxurious interiors, including seats covered in leather and Nishijin-style fabric, gold leaf walls, and tatami rope curtains.
A collaboration between traditional Japanese beauty and cutting-edge technology, the luxurious interior space will heighten your anticipation for the journey.


Nishi-Kyushu Shinkansen N700S "Kamome"

Based on the concept of "a unique train that is unique to Kyushu," the exterior is colored in JR Kyushu's corporate color red and symbolic mark. The design is detailed and subdued, and was created by Eiji Mitooka who also designed the luxury sleeper express "Seven Stars in Kyushu" and 'Aru Ressha'

The Nishi Kyushu Shinkansen line between Takeo Onsen and Nagasaki will be constructed to full standard gauge over a length of approximately 66 km, and will operate using a "face-to-face transfer method" where passengers will transfer at Takeo Onsen Station on the same platform as the conventional line express "Relay Kamome" that runs between Hakata and Takeo Onsen.

Symbol Mark

The symbol mark is made up of three circles and a flying seagull superimposed on each other. It represents the aims of the company: "Connecting the economy, culture and people of Kyushu to generate rich communication," "Representing the evolution and evolution of the Shinkansen "Kamome" while inheriting the DNA of the "Shinkansen Tsubame," and "Delivering the warm and gentle breeze that blows from Western Kyushu to the world."

Facilities and seats

A nostalgic yet new space is expressed by combining Japanese and Western styles, classic and modern. Reserved seats are arranged in rows 2-2, and unreserved seats are arranged in rows 3-2. The design of the reserved seats varies depending on the car.
