Hanasaki Line (Image)

The name Hanasaki Line is a nickname for the 135.4 km of railway line that connects Kushiro and Nemuro on the JR Nemuro Main Line (Takikawa-Nemuro), the longest railway line Hokkaido.
The route offers views of forests, pastures, the Pacific Ocean, and more, and is located along the route through wetlands registered under the Ramsar Convention. The marshes, greenery, sea, and sky reflected in the train window all change appearance from moment to moment.
