Yoshokuen (Hokkaido)
A garden nurtured by the sun
The garden was created by the owner, Takeichi Takahashi, alone for over 60 years, planting trees and flowers, digging ponds and building paths as if he was painting a picture on the earth. On the 80,000m2 site, about 800 kinds of seasonal flowers bloom in spring, summer and autumn, delighting visitors. The garden has been certified as a "Northern Landscape Heritage" by the Hokkaido branch of the Japanese Institute of Landscape Architecture.

Daisetsu Forest Garden (Hokkaido)
A garden painted in the most beautiful scenery of the Daisetsu mountain range
This garden was created in the forest that spreads across the hills overlooking the Daisetsu mountain range. The forest flower garden is home to over 500 varieties of flowers that bloom in abundance while making the most of the natural trees. At the back of the garden is the Forest Guest House, where trees and pretty flowers compete with each other.

Rokka no Mori (Hokkaido)
A forest of wildflowers depicted on Rokkatei's wrapping paper
The mountain wildflowers of Hokkaido depicted on Rokkatei's wrapping paper by mountain artist Naoyuki Sakamoto. They bloom in profusion throughout the seasons in the gardens. Among them, the six flowers known as the Tokachi Rokka are representative. They add a variety of colors to the park, from the dogtooth violets in early spring to the Siberian gentian in autumn.

Galaxy Garden (Hokkaido)
It's like being in a picture book...a fairy tale world decorated with flowers.
Ginga Garden is a vast 10-hectare (approximately the size of two Sapporo Domes) site with 30 theme gardens. Approximately 1,000 types of plants are planted there, and the theme gardens are constantly changing appearance with the flowers that bloom with the seasons.

Nakanojo Gardens (Gunma Prefecture)
A stroll-style garden where the garden is the main attraction, a rarity even in Japan
It consists of seven gardens and a farm area. The rose garden and spiral garden, which were created by a team of four professionals, are innovative and well-designed.

Hana Garden (Kanagawa Prefecture)
The official name is Kanagawa Prefectural Flower and Greenery Center.
It is a facility where you can learn about agriculture and horticulture while having fun. The garden, which covers an area of approximately 9.2 hectares (approximately 3.5 times the size of Yokohama Stadium), is divided into three zones: the "Flower Zone" where seasonal flowers are planted, the "Agri Zone" where you can experience rice planting and vegetable harvesting, and the "Megumi Research Building Zone" which includes an exhibition room.

Barakura English Garden (Nagano Prefecture)
Japan's first authentic English garden
The Tateshina Highlands "Barakura English Garden" was established in the early summer of 1990. It is the first full-scale English garden in Japan, located on a site of approximately 10,000 square meters, and was designed by Kei Yamada, with all the garden work, from the design to the stonemasons and gardeners, all done by British specialists.

The Fragrant Rose Garden is made up of seven areas based on a theme. Gifu World Rose Garden (Gifu Prefecture)
A city park opened after the site of the flower exhibition "Flower Festa '95 Gifu" was redeveloped.
The rose garden, which is spread across an area of 80.7 hectares (approximately the size of 17 Nagoya Domes), is home to approximately 7,000 varieties and 30,000 rose bushes planted in the "World Rose Garden" and "Rose Theme Garden." In addition to "seasonal" varieties that bloom repeatedly from spring to autumn, the garden also has a rich collection of native species and old roses.

Monet's Garden in Giverny, France, is famous as the garden that Monet loved. He is said to have spent half his life from the age of 43 in this garden and the mansion with its atelier, devoting his time to gardening outside of his creative endeavors. Monet's Garden Marmottan in Kitagawa Village recreates the passion of Claude Monet in the natural surroundings of Kochi.
