Shikishima Suite-A warm space-
The relaxing Japanese-style space with sunken kotatsu-style tables and the experience of watching the ever-changing scenery is something out of the ordinary that can only be experienced here. The room is made up of two floors, with a Japanese-style room on the second floor with a commanding view, and a bedroom on the first floor with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The Japanese-style space with tatami mats spreads across the second floor, and a specially made cypress bath is also available. You can spend a relaxing time that is unique to Japan. Watching the scenery pass by the window while soaking in the bathtub is an experience unique to Train Suite Shiki-shima that will soothe your travel fatigue.

Deluxe Suite-High-quality, open space-
A high-quality, open space with high ceilings and a fireplace. Large windows allow you to enjoy the view from the train to your heart's content. Relax on the sofa and enjoy some private time. Using traditional Japanese patterns and wood, we have combined various materials such as washi paper, lacquer, and stone to create an atmosphere that is not just classical, but also modern and sophisticated. Furthermore, the furniture and furnishings in the room use traditional crafts from eastern Japan, and the warmth of the craftsmen's handiwork will soothe your mind and allow you to relax and unwind.

Suites-A space filled with relaxation-
The rooms are equipped with showers and toilets, and some are barrier-free. Two sofas convert to beds at night. The walls of the rooms are made with panels made of rare Japanese lacquer, Joboji lacquer from Iwate, and the closets are designed with chests of drawers from Sendai and Image. The fine designs and materials of the Japanese tradition are incorporated in a modern way, expressing a sense of quality for a new era.

VIEW TERRACE KIZASHI IBUKI- Observation car -
The front and rear cars are observation lounges. Expressing the will to move forward into the future, the white walls, windows that resemble fragments of light, and carpeting reminiscent of moss. Whether standing or sitting, the design allows you to enjoy the dynamic natural scenery flowing outside the window. All the carpets inside the cars are hand-woven in Yamagata. The carpet in the observation car has a moss motif. The lounge features trees filtering through the air, and the passenger compartment features the sea. Please enjoy the texture.

LOUNGE komorebi- Lounge -
The lounge, with its impressive walls reminiscent of a peaceful forest, is the entrance that leads guests to the moving experience on "Train Suite Shiki-Shima." The furnishings incorporate handicrafts that have been passed down from generation to generation in various parts of eastern Japan. Rediscovering Japanese design culture in the lounge, which is also a place where passengers gather, will also provide an opportunity to spark conversation with those who share your travels. Except when sightseeing outside the train, a train crew member will be stationed at the bar counter 24 hours a day during your trip. You can enjoy your favorite drinks and light Meals at any time. Why not try an original cocktail after your meal?

DINING Shikishima-dining-
Encountering cuisine and ingredients enhances the excitement of the journey. Please come and sit at a special table that can only be reached by train. We will prepare dishes with love using seasonal ingredients from various areas along the line, such as eastern Japan and Hokkaido. Based on the theme of "memorable cuisine," Executive Chef Ikeuchi will prepare a French course, and chefs and chefs from famous restaurants on each of the stops will board the train every morning, noon and night to show off their cooking skills that make the most of the local climate and ingredients. Enjoy a world of food unique to Train Suite Shiki-shima.
