Vehicle Introduction
Nishi-Kyushu Shinkansen N700S "Kamome"
Based on the concept of "a unique train that is unique to Kyushu," the exterior is colored in JR Kyushu's corporate color red and symbolic mark. The design is detailed and subdued, and was created by Eiji Mitooka who also designed the luxury sleeper express "Seven Stars in Kyushu" and 'Aru Ressha'
The Nishi Kyushu Shinkansen line between Takeo Onsen and Nagasaki will be constructed to full standard gauge over a length of approximately 66 km, and will operate using a "face-to-face transfer method" where passengers will transfer at Takeo Onsen Station on the same platform as the conventional line express "Relay Kamome" that runs between Hakata and Takeo Onsen.

The symbol mark is made up of three circles and a flying seagull superimposed on each other. It represents the aims of the company: "Connecting the economy, culture and people of Kyushu to generate rich communication," "Representing the evolution and evolution of the Shinkansen "Kamome" while inheriting the DNA of the "Shinkansen Tsubame," and "Delivering the warm and gentle breeze that blows from Western Kyushu to the world."
Facilities and seats
A nostalgic yet new space is expressed by combining Japanese and Western styles, classic and modern. Reserved seats are arranged in rows 2-2, and unreserved seats are arranged in rows 3-2. The design of the reserved seats varies depending on the car.
N700 series
Based on the highly reliable "N700 series" vehicles, this train will have an "8-car formation." The keyword "dignified" expresses the comfort of Japanese hospitality. The maximum speed is 300km/h (within the Sanyo Shinkansen area). The train has been fully electric to handle the steep gradients (35%) of the Kyushu Shinkansen section.

800 series
The interior of the 800 series is gorgeous! Each car has seats made of reddish-brown leather and various fabrics. It is also the first train in the world to have gold leaf applied to the gable walls of the passenger compartment. So gorgeous! And the "swallow flight trajectory" on the side of the car is also impressive. It is a cute design with a red line that looks like a swallow spinning around.
