Tohoku E5 Series (Hayabusa/Yamabiko/Nasuno)

The E5 series is a new generation Shinkansen train that brings together cutting edge technology and fuses driving performance, reliability, environmental friendliness and comfort at a high level. There are three types of seats: Ordinary Car, Green Car and Gran Class. In-car facilities include women-only spaces with toilets and washrooms that reflect the voices of female passengers, as well as information displays using large full-color LEDs, large toilets and multipurpose rooms that are suitable for improved handle-type electric wheelchairs, and security cameras in the passenger compartment and on decks, and the in-car facilities have been improved from the perspectives of security and universal design.

Tohoku E2 Series (Yamabiko/Nasuno)

The E2 series features passenger cabins with a calming interior, highlighted by indirect lighting and a gray color scheme. Casual seating in shades of blue, purple, and green is arranged randomly to create a relaxed atmosphere. This Shinkansen model not only reduces vibrations and noise but also aims to provide a comfortable and soothing travel experience for passengers. There are two types of seating available: standard and green cars.

Akita Shinkansen E6 Series (Komachi)

The E6 series Green Car Image a traditional, private space, and its design motif is based on Akita 's traditional crafts. The Ordinary Car has Image of the fertile land of Akita, and is a space that evokes the feeling of elation when stepping into the lush rice fields and the blessings of nature. Car 12 is equipped with a large multi-purpose toilet that is suitable for improved electric wheelchairs with handlebars, as well as other on-board facilities that take security and universal design into consideration, such as an information display device with large full-color LEDs and security cameras in the passenger compartment and on the deck.

Yamagata Shinkansen E8 Series (Tsubasa)

Introducing the new model debuting on March 16, 2024! This vehicle reduces side-to-side swaying at high speeds, enhancing ride comfort. To ensure a comfortable travel experience, AC 100V outlets are installed under each seat’s armrest. The train features three wheelchair spaces compatible with electric wheelchairs and includes a multi-purpose restroom (accessible restroom) and a multi-purpose room, advancing our commitment to barrier-free facilities. There are two types of seating available: standard and green cars.

Yamagata Shinkansen E3 Series (Tsubasa)

The E3 series is a train that runs "Shinkansen-local direct service" that connects the Shinkansen and conventional lines without transfers. Since it runs on conventional lines, it is made a size smaller than regular Shinkansen trains. There are two types of seats: regular cars and green cars.
