The Naruto Strait is one of the straits that connects the Seto Inland Sea and the Pacific Ocean between Honshu and Shikoku. Twice a day, a large amount of seawater flows into the Seto Inland Sea and also flows out of it. This tidal current is said to be the fastest in Japan.
