Whale watching tours in the waters of Okinawa (Kerama Islands and Motobu area)

Why can you see humpback whales near Okinawa (Kerama Islands and Motobu area)?

From spring to summer, humpback whales fill their stomachs with Toyotomi food in the Alaskan waters and stock up on nutrients, then come to the waters of Okinawa from Dec. to Apr. to give birth and raise their young. During the tour, you may be able to see the adorable sight of whales swimming with their baby whales.

Be fully prepared! Dress appropriately and take precautions against seasickness

◆ Clothing and cold weather measures ◆

Even in Okinawa, the wind on the ocean is cold during this season. Life jackets will be provided to everyone.
Please wear clothes that are windproof and can get a little wet.

We recommend wearing sneakers as the boat will be rocking. Please bring waterproofing as water may splash on your camera.

◆ Sun protection ◆

The sun in Okinawa is strong even in winter, so be sure to take precautions against sunburn.

◆ Seasickness prevention ◆

The boat may rock slightly depending on the weather, so if you suffer from motion sickness, you will need to bring motion sickness medicine.
