Kameido Tenjin Wisteria Festival in Sha [Tokyo]

The best wisteria viewing spot in Tokyo

From late Apr., the more than 100 wisteria plants within the temple grounds begin to bloom all at once.
Beneath the wisteria trellis is the quiet Shinji Pond, and at night the illuminated wisteria reflect in the light, creating a mysterious atmosphere.
Since the Edo period, it has been widely known as "Kameido's Five-foot Wisteria" and "Kameido's Wisteria Waves," and has been the subject of many ukiyo-e stories.
