Gorgeous and gorgeous floats parade

Hita Gion Festival is a "Shinto ritual to ward off evil spirits" and is one of the Gion Festivals modeled after the Gion Festival in Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. Currently, there are five Gion shrines in the city, and the parishioners of each shrine hold their festivals. Among them, festival floats are mobilized in the festivals in the Mameda, Kuma, and Takeda districts in the city center, and are pulled around to the accompaniment of Gion music. Hita Gion's music is very popular, with a variety of arrangements of the songs.
During the evening festival, which is the highlight of the festival, countless lanterns decorate the floats and are paraded beautifully lit.
