What is Tobu Railway's new limited express train, Spacia X?

Start of operation: Jul. 15, 2023

Spacia X is Tobu Railway's new express train that connects Asakusa -Nikko ・Kinugawa Onsen.
It stops at Asakusa, Tokyo Sky Tree, Kitasenju, Kasukabe, Tochigi ・New Kanuma, Shimo-Imaichi, Tobu Nikko ・Tobu World Square and Kinugawa Onsen Station.
The coloring of the car body is Nikko Toshogu Shrine a noble white color Image reminiscent of the "gofun" white painted on the Yomeimon Gate, Karamon Gate, and the Imperial Head Office.

Standard Seat

The seats are equipped with power outlets to accommodate various uses. There is a table on the back of the front seats and a small table next to the armrest, which can be used for different purposes. Each row of seats has its own individual window, which increases comfort and makes the seats more functional.

Premium Seat

Car 2 has two types of seats: a two-row type and a single-row type. The seats are a color that stands out against the dark gray carpet. The seats are a first for Tobu Railway, and feature electric reclining, adjustable pillows with neck support, and a back shell structure that allows passengers to recline without having to worry about the seats behind them.

Vehicle Design Introduction

The form is reminiscent of the handcrafts of the Edo period, such as kumiko and bamboo weaving, which have been handed down in Kanuma, with the appearance of a carefully crafted artifact that seems to encapsulate something important.
