Tokyo Skytree® and Tokyo Skytree Town® are like this!
Tokyo Skytree®
POINT 1 Tell me about Tokyo Skytree!
In 2003, six Tokyo-based broadcasting companies sought a new radio tower for terrestrial digital broadcasting, and the construction plan was finalized. Tokyo Construction began in Jul. 2008 with the aim of making it less susceptible to the effects of the 200m-class skyscrapers that line the center. It is expected to function as the core of the new era of digital terrestrial broadcasting and communications, as well as an information base in the event of a disaster.
POINT 2: There are two observation decks where you can enjoy special views!
The Tokyo Skytree Tembo Deck, 350 meters above ground, has over 5-meter-high glass panels arranged in a 360-degree angle, offering a spectacular panoramic view of Tokyo! Another 100 meters up, at 450 meters above ground, is the Tokyo Skytree Tembo Galleria, where you can feel like you're walking in the air, and enjoy even more views of Kanto.
POINT3: Two types of night lighting
The lighting design was created by lighting consultant Hiroto Togaki, and "Miyabi" is Edo purple, which represents the Japanese aesthetic sense. "Iki" represents the spirit of Edo in Japan. All LED lighting is used to save energy, and the two types of lighting are switched on a daily basis.
POINT4Let's go to Tokyo Skytree Town!
Tokyo Skytree Town spreads out at the foot of Tokyo Skytree. Tokyo Skytree Town, which stretches approximately 400m from east to west, is comprised of Tokyo Solamachi, an aquarium, a planetarium, and an office tower, with shops and restaurants gathered around the tower.

Sumida Aquarium
Sumida Aquarium is located on two floors, the 5th and 6th floors of Tokyo Skytree Town West Yard. The upper and lower floors are connected by multiple routes, each with its own unique way of enjoying. There is no set route, so you can go back and forth as many times as you like, wandering around the aquarium to your heart's content, and enjoying the tanks from various angles and perspectives. There are also many other attractions, such as the "Tokyo Big Tank," which recreates the ocean of Ogasawara, and an indoor open pool-type tank where you can see penguins and fur seals up close.
While in the city, you can experience the "life of living things" and the "water" that nurtures them.
