Olive Garden

Approximately 2,000 olive trees are cultivated on a 3 hectare site.
Within the garden, there is still an olive tree that was experimentally cultivated in Japan in 1908, and it still produces a lot of fruit every year.

Olive Park

Within the garden, there are many spots where you can experience the history and charm of olives, including Greek-style buildings and various experience facilities. Enjoy a leisurely stroll while taking in the calm scenery of the Seto Inland Sea, reminiscent of the Mediterranean Sea.

Twenty-four Eyes Movie Village

This is a renovated open set for filming the movie "Twenty-Four Eyes," and includes a wooden school building, a teacher's house, a fisherman's house, etc., and famous scenes from the movie were filmed here.
The Sakae Tsuboi Literature Museum exhibits original manuscripts of each of Sakae Tsuboi's works.

Twenty-four Eyes: Images of Peace

A bronze statue welcoming tourists near the bus stop at Tonosho Port. Its motif is Oishi sensei and his 12 children, who appear in "Twenty-Four Eyes."
With olive trees thriving behind it, it has become a symbol of tourism on Shodoshima.

Nakayama Senmaida Rice Fields

Located almost in the center of Shodoshima, it is said that there are over 800 rice terraces of various sizes. It is the only rice terrace in Kagawa Prefecture that has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 rice terraces.

Kankakei Gorge

Kankakei, the symbol of Seto Inland Sea National Park and one of the three most beautiful valleys in Japan, is a magnificent scenic spot with 12 views on the front and 8 views on the back. In addition to the view from the top of the mountain, we also recommend riding the ropeway and taking a walk in the air while looking out over the Seto Inland Sea.

Hishio no Sato

Shodoshima has had a long history of salt production. In the Edo period, soy sauce production began, and after the war, it developed into the tsukudani industry.
Some soy sauce factories and storehouses built during the Meiji period are still in use today.

Angel Road

This popular tourist spot has a path that appears and disappears with the tides. At low tide, you can cross to an island along the way.
It is a romantic place where it is said that if you cross the bridge holding hands with your loved one, your wish will come true.

Dobuchi Strait

This strait was recognized by the Guinness World Records as the "narrowest strait in the world" in 1996. It is a 2.5km long strait that flows between the main island of Shodoshima and Maejima, and at its narrowest point it is only 9.93m wide, so narrow that it looks like a river.
