What are Omagari Fireworks?

Omagari Fireworks Festival is Japan's largest fireworks competition, held in Omagari area of Daisen City, Akita Prefecture. You can enjoy the charm of fireworks with different themes for each season, centered around the National Fireworks Competition in the summer.

When do the Omagari Fireworks take place?

Omagari Fireworks are held four times a year, in spring, autumn and winter, in addition to the National Fireworks Competition held in summer. In 2024, the Spring Chapter Itinerary be held on Saturday, Apr. 27th, the National Fireworks Competition on Saturday, Aug. 31st, and the Autumn Chapter on Saturday, Oct. 5th.
