Mitsuke Island

This is a famous spot that is often seen on posters as a symbol of Noto. It is a 28m tall oddly shaped rock that is also known as "Battleship Island" because the shape of the island resembles a battleship.
The sunrise over Mitsukejima is a spectacular sight that you should definitely see at least once.

Rokkozaki Lighthouse

Located at the very tip of the Noto Peninsula, Rokkozaki Lighthouse is a chalk-white lighthouse known for being able to see both the sunrise and sunset.
As it is an unmanned lighthouse, it is not possible to tour the inside, but it is open to the public several times a year. If you come to Oku-Noto, be sure to visit this beautiful lighthouse, which has been selected as one of the "50 Best Lighthouses of Japan."

Shirayone no Senmaida (Thousand Rice Fields of Shirayone)

Shiroyone Senmaida is a series of small rice fields that form a geometric pattern and continue all the way to the coast.
There are 1,004 rice fields in the nationally designated area, and the area is also registered as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Site.

Noto Kongo Ganmon

Tsudo, which took many years to create, is 6 meters wide, 15 meters high, and 60 meters deep, making it one of Ishikawa-Prefecture's most famous Kachiji. The impressive Kaigan, eroded by the rough waves of the Sea of Japan, is a magnificent sight comparable to Kongosan, one of the most Kachiji on the Korean Peninsula, hence the name "Noto Kongo."

Chirihama Nagisa Driveway

Chirihama Nagisa Driveway is the only sandy driveway in Japan that you can drive on, stretching for about 8km. In the summer, it becomes bustling with beachgoers.
The distinctive feature of this coast is the fineness of the sand. Each grain of sand is compressed and hardened by the seawater, so large tourist buses, bicycles, and motorbikes can travel freely here.

Noto Railway

The only local line on the Noto Peninsula, it runs through idyllic rural areas and along the quiet seashore and has a total of eight stations.
Noto-Kashima Station, also known as "Noto Sakura Station," becomes a "cherry blossom tunnel" on its platform in spring, and the station is bustling with many cherry blossom viewers.

Sojiji Soin Temple

It is an ancient temple known as Betsuin of Sojiji Mochidera in Yokohama today.
Along with Eiheiji in Fukui-Prefecture, it flourishes as Motoyama of the Soto sect of Buddhism, and within the spacious temple grounds are the mountain gate, sutra repository, Buddha hall, lecture hall, and Sodo hall, and time passes quietly and calmly, as befits a Zen temple.

Keta Taisha Shrine

It is Ichinomiya Noto Province, and as its name suggests, it is known as a shrine where a lot of energy gathers, and in recent years it has also become popular as a shrine for matchmaking.
Many of the buildings, including the main hall, have been designated as Important Cultural Properties by the nation, and behind the temple grounds is an expansive "Forest of No Entry" that is off-limits to the public.

Yase Cliff

It is part of the Kaigan line of precipitous cliffs, 35 meters above sea level, and it is said that the name "Yase" comes from the feeling of "skinny" body when standing on the cliff and leaning over to look down.
Matsumoto became known to many as the Butai of Seicho's novel "Zero Focus.

Noto Island

This island in Nanao Bay is home to popular attractions such as the Notojima Aquarium, the Glass Art Museum, and a swimming beach.
Since the Notojima Bridge opened in Apr. 1982, the area has become a popular destination for tourists.

Noto Airport

Opened on Jul. 7, 2003, Noto is the only airport on the peninsula.
Initially in Japan, the airport itself is being used as a way station called "Noto Kuko".
Domestic flights are only one in the morning and one in the afternoon from Haneda airport. It takes just one hour to travel between Haneda and Noto.

Amaharashi Coast

Amaharashi Kaigan has been selected as one of Japan's 100 best beaches, and you can see the 3,000-meter-high Tachiyama range across the sea.
There is a rock called "Yoshitsune Rock" where Minamoto no Yoshitsune is said to have waited for the rains to stop on his way to Oshu, and this is also the origin of Jina "Amahare."

Tsukumo Bay Sightseeing Boat

A pleasure boat that operates on Tsukumo Bay, one of Japan's 100 most scenic spots.
The only two-story sightseeing boat in Ishikawa Prefecture that allows you to see underwater, takes you on a leisurely 40-minute cruise around Tsukumo Bay, allowing you to enjoy spectacular views from both Kaisho and below the water.
