In 1962, he formed Johnny's Entertainment's founding group, "Johnny's." He became wildly popular.
After the group disbanded, he appeared in many TV dramas such as "Winter Journey" and "Red Beard," as well as the blockbuster films "203 Heights" and "The Inugami Family." He also voiced the voice of Yabuki Joe in "Ashita no Joe," a memorable role in anime history.
As a singer, he has had many hit songs, including "Futari no Sekai," "Anata Dake wo," "Hi-Hi-Hi," and "Sentimental Carnival."
From 1988, he played the role of Sukesan in the popular national TV program "Mito" for 12 years, receiving great support.

Sado

It is about 1.5 times the size of Tokyo 23 wards and is the largest remote island in Japan. During the Edo period, it flourished as an island of gold mines. Sado, with its varied topography, boasts a rich ecosystem and is full of attractions! Various attractions await you throughout the island, including scenic spots rich in nature and historical sites.

There are many churches on the island, including Dozaki Church, which was the first church established in Goto after the lifting of the ban on Christianity. In Jun. 2018, the island was registered as a World Heritage Site as part of the "Hidden Christian Heritage Sites of the Nagasaki and Amakusa Regions."
