Nikko /Kinugawa area

Kegon Falls

There are so many waterfalls in Nikko that it is said there are 48 of them, but the most famous is Kegon Falls. The sight of the water gushing from a height of 97 meters is spectacular, and it is also called one of the three most famous waterfalls in Japan, combining the magnificent beauty of nature with its magnificent shape.

Kinugawa Line Boat Ride

Kinu Line Boat Cruise allows you to fully enjoy the splendid beauty of Kinu River valley. The Sendo's skillful oars take you down the river in style. (Mid-Apr. to mid-Nov.)

Lake Chuzenji

The lake has a circumference of 25 km and a maximum depth of 163 m, and is known for being the highest naturally occurring lake in Japan (according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism). From the observation deck located halfway up the Lake Chuzenji Skyline, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Lake Chuzenji and Mt. Nantai.

Irohazaka Slope

It is the only road that connects Nikko-City and Nikko, and has been designated as one of the "100 Best Roads in Japan." There are a total of 48 curves, 20 on the way up and 28 on the way down, and the curves are marked in the order of the Japanese alphabet.

Kusatsu surrounding area

Fukiware Falls

The waterfall, which is 7m high and over 30m wide, roars and splashes down, and is known as the Niagara Falls of the Orient. The clear waters of Katashina River eroded the soft parts of the rock, creating numerous fissures that look as if a huge rock had been blown apart, hence the name "Fukiware Falls."

Mizusawa Kannon Temple

The temple features a hexagonal two-tiered pagoda (Six Jizo statues of Good Luck), a bell tower, and a Shakado Hall, all designated as Important Cultural Properties by the prefecture. Inside the Shakado Hall are enshrined the Shaka Triad and the Enku Buddha (seated statue of Amida Nyorai), also designated as Important Cultural Properties by the prefecture.

Kusatsu Yubatake

Kusatsu Onsen is one of the three most famous hot springs in Japan. The Yubatake, located in the center of the hot spring town, is the symbol of Kusatsu Onsen. 4,000 liters of hot spring water gushes out every minute, always sending up steam.

Manza area

Shirane Mountain Hot Springs

This crater lake is located at the summit of Mt. Shirane, at an altitude of 2,160 meters, and has a diameter of 300 meters and a depth of 30 meters.
Its mystical appearance filled with emerald green water can be seen from the observation deck, about a 20-minute walk from the parking lot.

Mount Yokote

At Mt. Yokote, the highest peak in Shiga Kogen, you can take the Skyrator, Skylift, and Shibu Toge Romance Lift to enjoy a magnificent panorama from the summit at an altitude of 2,305 meters without having to walk.
