About the World Cultural Heritage Registration
The sacred and majestic Mt.Fuji is a symbol of Japan known even overseas.
Mt.Fuji 's beautiful appearance has led many artists to depict it, and it is also known to have influenced artists overseas.
Mt.Fuji, an object of worship and a source of artistic inspiration, has established itself as a globally recognized "famous mountain" that symbolizes Japan and Japan Bunka.
The prefectures of Yamanashi and Shizuoka, as well as the cities Ichimachi concerned, have been promoting the registration of Mt.Fuji as a World Cultural Heritage site in order to pass on this irreplaceable treasure to future generations as a common heritage of all Japan. In Jan. 2012, Japan government submitted a recommendation to UNESCO, and Mt.Fuji was registered as a World Cultural Heritage site in Jun. 2013.

About the component parts and constituent elements
Mt.Fuji has given birth to many faiths and artistic works since ancient times, and Bunka related to Fujiyama include not only the mountain itself, but also the shrines, Yamamichi, wind holes, lava tree molds, lakes and marshes that surround Fujiyama. These Bunka assets, which make up the value of Fujiyama (constituent assets/elements), have been registered as World Bunka Heritage sites in order to be passed on to future generations as the common property of all mankind.
Mt.Fujihas 25 constituent parts, including not only the mountain itself, but also Mt.Fuji Motomiya Asama Shrine and Fuji 5 Lakes -Yamanakako, Motosu, Saiko, Shoji, and Kawaguchi.
