A famous waterfall with a drop of about 350m (※1), the highest in Japan, originating from the Tateyama mountain range.
It is the largest waterfall in Japan (※1) with a drop of about 350m that originates from the Tateyama mountain range and carves a V-shape into the Tagahara Plateau, and has been selected as one of Japan's 100 Best Waterfalls (※2). During the snowmelt season, Hannoki Falls flows to the right of Shomyo Falls, creating a magnificent V-shaped waterfall.
