Hand-held fireworks in the eastern Mikawa region of Aichi Prefecture are launched by holding a bamboo tube filled with gunpowder and exposing oneself to sparks. More than 10 hand-held fireworks shoot up simultaneously to a height of about 10 meters, creating a scale unlike any other.
