There are three highlights of the Kumano fireworks.

"Suicide at Sea"
Two boats travelling at full speed throw lit fireworks one after the other, creating semicircular flowers on the sea. It's a thrilling sight to watch the fireworks burst into flames right before the spectators' eyes, chasing the boats at full speed.

"Three-foot ball suicide bomb at sea"
A 250kg three-foot bomb will be set on a steel raft 400m offshore and then exploded. Enjoy the beauty of the semicircular explosion that spreads out over a diameter of 600m.

"Demon Castle Grand Project"
The "Oni-ga-jo Daishikake," which marks the finale of the Kumano Fireworks Festival, features fireworks set off using the rocks and caves of Onigajo, a national scenic spot and natural monument.
Among them, the spectacular "Oni-ga-jo Earth Bomb" involves placing fireworks ranging from No. 8 to two-foot-tall on the rocks of Onigajo and letting them explode, creating a spectacular effect with the sound of the fireworks exploding and the wind blowing, as well as the sound of them bouncing off the rocks and reverberating in the caves.
The fireworks explode into a fan shape, sending shockwaves of sound and light throughout the venue.
