熱海の花火の大きな特徴は2つ。一つはフィナーレ「大空中ナイアガラ」、もう一つは「打上げ会場」です。
毎開催フィナーレを飾る【大空中ナイアガラ】は、仕掛け花火ではなく、会場全体から打上げるスターマイン。銀色の花火が夜空を埋め尽くし、真昼のように明るく輝きます。
3面を山に囲まれた「すり鉢」状の地形のため、海で上げる花火の音が反響し、大きなスタジアムのような音響効果があります。
