約1万発を打ち上げる花火大会
秋に開催される花火大会「長野えびす講煙火大会」は、明治32年、街の有志たちによって「長野市大煙火大会」と銘打って、「えびすの神」に誠意と感謝の意を表わすと共にえびす講の景気付けをしようとして花火を打ち上げたのが始まりです。
大正時代には、煙火師を厳選し、技術が未熟な者の参加を許さなかったことから、全国の煙火師にとって長野のえびす講煙火大会への参加は“出世煙火”とまでいわれるようになりました。
長野のえびす講煙火大会は質が優秀だという点で全国の王座を占めています。
また、近年は全国屈指の煙火師を招いての新作花火コンテストもあり、多くのファンを魅了しています。
