片貝まつり奉納大煙火（だいえんか）（新潟県）

直径約800m！大迫力の『四尺玉』
浅原神社の秋季例大祭であり、祭りの特徴は浅原神社への奉納煙火です。
片貝の街中では、朝から浅原神社へ花火の玉を奉納する「玉送り」や、花火打ち上げの成功と無事を祈る「筒引き」などの古式ゆかしい伝統行事の数々が執り行われます。
片貝は、日本で最初に「正三尺玉」や「正四尺玉」を打ち上げたことで有名であり、「三尺玉発祥の地」としても知られています。
いまもなお、日本で唯一の「真昼の正三尺玉」が打ち上げられ、大尺玉が打ち上げられることで各方面に知られている花火大会です。
昭和60年には「四尺玉の打ち上げ」にも成功しました。
四尺玉は重さ約420キロ。直径約800メートルもの大輪の花を夜空に咲かせます。
「三尺玉発祥の地」としての400年に及ぶ歴史があり、神社への花火を奉納する、という奥ゆかしい伝統の中で奉納される「片貝の花火」をぜひご堪能下さい。
