「こうのす花火大会」は地元商店・企業の経営者、次期経営者の若者で構成される『鴻巣市商工会青年部』がボランティアで地域の商工業の発展と子供たちに夢や希望を与えたいと願い主催する花火大会です。行政主導での開催ではなく、地元の事業所を一軒一軒まわり協賛金を集めることからスタートし、企画・運営から大会終了後の清掃に至るまでその全てを約50名の青年部員がこなすという全国でも類を見ない100％手作りの花火大会です。
