Built in 1891, this building is the face of Fujiya Hotel and continues to welcome guests to this day. With a fusion of Japanese and Western styles, you can experience the unique atmosphere of Fujiya Hotel.
Western-style building, built in 1906
Registered Tangible Cultural Property/Modern Industrial Heritage
It is said to be a typical example of Western-style architecture from the Meiji period, and the building retains a strong sense of the style from the time it was built.
The elegant European-style furnishings create a relaxing and leisurely atmosphere.
Forest Wing, built in 1960
We also have rooms overlooking the leisurely nature and Hakone.
Guide to the Facility
From here, enter another world of relaxation
Guests are welcomed on the main lobby floor, where they are transported back in time to a classic movie.
Your extraordinary experience begins here, as you feel the sunlight streaming in and the leisurely flow of time.
Relax and unwind in a calm space
On the 2nd floor of the Forest Wing, in the lounge for hotel guests only, there is a hotel library with approximately 600 Japanese and Western books.
Here in Fujiya, we have books to learn and appreciate culture and traditions of Japan. We have also prepared books which you will want to know now that you are spending time at Hakone.
Miyanoshita natural hot springs available only to guests staying at the hotel
A spa opened on the 6th floor of the Forest Wing. From the bathtub you can see the magnificent view of Hakone outer rim, and you can enjoy Miyanoshita Onsen, a famous hot spring that is counted among the Seven Hot Springs of Hakone, while feeling the nature of the four seasons.
Restaurant
Fujiya Hotel has three restaurants, each with its own unique atmosphere, where you can enjoy "memorable cuisine."
Main Dining Room The Fujiya
For over 90 years since 1930, "The Fujiya Main Dining Room" has been a symbol of the Fuji Hotel and loved by many guests.
The 6-meter high ceiling, painted with 636 species of Takayama plants from Japan Alps, and the various carvings hidden in the transoms and pillars add to the exhilaration of each dish.
Former Imperial Villa Kikkaso
This historic building is constructed in 1895 as Miyanoshita Imperial Villa for the Imperial Family and is a purely Japanese building with a long history.
Another highlight is the famous garden where you can experience the changing of the seasons.
In a relaxed atmosphere, you can enjoy Japan cuisine made with seasonal ingredients.
Restaurant Cascade
This restaurant is a restored version of the former banquet hall "Cascade Room," built in 1920.
The gorgeous stained glass and sculptures remain as they were when the building was completed.
