Okutadami, an artificial lake created by damming the Tadami River, boasts one of the largest water storage capacities in Japan. Another popular attraction at Okutadami is the pleasure boat, the Okutadami Pleasure Boat. During the autumn foliage season, two popular rides are available in Naeba: the Dragondola and the Tashiro Ropeway. The Naeba Dragondola is 5,481m long and takes about 25 minutes one way. It is also famous for being able to enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of autumn foliage for a long time. Once you pass the first mountain, you will see a steep slope of autumn foliage like a roller coaster as it heads towards the river. The dynamic view of the autumn foliage from the air is a must-see. The Tashiro Ropeway is 230m above ground when it passes the middle section! It is said to be as high as Sunshine 60. At the summit station, 1,413m above sea level, you can enjoy the vast and expressive world of autumn foliage while looking out over majestic mountains such as Lake Tashiro and Mount Naeba.
