Club Tourism Original Sky Lantern Raising Event <Taiwan>
Date: Feb. 15th (Sat) - 16th (Sun), 2025
Club Tourism original sky lantern-raising event, which has been well-received every year, is now in its 16th year! In Taiwan, there is a New Year's tradition of releasing sky lanterns with wishes such as "family harmony," "health," and "peace" to reach the gods.
All tour participants will have the chance to experience sky lantern-raising at a venue reserved exclusively by Club Tourism, and will release sky lanterns bearing their wishes into the night sky. The sight of many sky lanterns swaying and soaring into the night sky is truly fantastical.

Tsuyama Castle Ruins Lantern (Okayama Prefecture)
Date: Saturday Oct. 26, 2024
An LED lantern event will be held at the Honmaru Square of the Tsuyama Castle ruins. During the same period, the 400-year-old Tsuyama Festival will be held during the "Forest Art Festival: Sunny Country Okayama" and an illumination event Itinerary be held at the Tsuyama Castle ruins!

This is the launch of a balloon LED lantern that floats using helium gas and is connected by a string about 10 meters long.

Tadotsu Sakurantan Pageant 2024, a festival of lights that colors the winter in Tadotsu (Kagawa Prefecture)
Date: Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024
Based on the concept of "Let's make the winter cherry blossoms bloom," this event is loved as a festival of lights that colors the winter of Tadotsu. You can enjoy the fantastic scenery of pink lanterns (one per person) that imitate cherry blossoms being launched into the night sky.
In addition to the cherry blossom trees decorated with pink lanterns and the illumination area, there are many other areas to enjoy besides the lanterns, such as a market where you can enjoy gourmet food and miscellaneous goods.
5th Hakodate-Goryokaku Christmas Starry Sky Lantern Event Hokkaido
Date: Saturday, Dec. 14th to Sunday, December 15th, 2024
At Goryokaku, a star-shaped castle designated as a special national historic site and the setting of many historical events in the Christmas mood Hakodate, the "Dream Illumination of Goryo Star" will be held with approximately 2,000 light bulbs around the moat in the shape of a star.
At Goryokaku Park, where the illumination event is held, there will be a Starry Sky Lantern Event where you can write your Christmas wish on a lantern and send it flying! The sight of it flying up into the night sky like a star is fantastic.

To protect the environment and ensure safety, the lanterns will be LED and recyclable kite-flying style.

Ryukyu Lantern Festival (Okinawa Prefecture)
Date: Dec. 1, 2024 (Sunday) -Mar. 31, 2025 Itinerary
The Ryukyu Lantern Festival will light up the Okinawa night with a theme of "light."
Murasaki Mura, which recreates the glamorous townscape of the Ryukyu Dynasty, will be filled with Chinese lanterns, lantern sculptures, washi paper lanterns and other lights.

Nagasaki Lantern Festival (Nagasaki Prefecture)
Date: Jan. 29th (Wed) -Feb. 12th (Wed), 2025 (Itinerary)
This festival began as a celebration of the Chinese New Year, and is a major event that brightens up Nagasaki's winter with beautiful lanterns and ornaments.
Approximately 15,000 lanterns (Chinese lanterns) and other objects are displayed in the center of the city, painting the city of Nagasaki in brilliant colors.
Objects of all sizes decorate the area in a fantastical way, and the largest zodiac object is about 10 meters in size.

Hanamaki City, Hanamaki Onsen Ski Resort Lantern Launch Event "Hanamaki Starry Night" < Iwate Prefecture>
Dates: Jan. 19th (Sun), 26th (Sun), Feb. 2nd (Sun), 11th (Tue, holiday), and 16th (Sun), 2025
"Hanamaki Starry Night" is a winter-only event where people all release lanterns with wishes inside into the night sky of Hanamaki.
The lanterns floating in the starry sky under the snowy scenery are beautiful and fantastical. After participating in the event, please spend a special time Accommodation at Hanamaki Onsenkyo.
Why not raise a lantern with your wishes in the starry sky of Iwate Hanamaki, the same sky that Kenji Miyazawa also gazed up at, and spend a memorable time with your loved ones?
Tsunan Lantern Fantasy Lights (Niigata Prefecture)
Date: Mar. 14th to Friday, Mar. 21st, 2025 (Itinerary)
Since 2012, the town of Tsunan in Niigata has been launching lanterns as part of its annual snow festival as a prayer for recovery from the earthquake disaster.
Club Tourism has set aside a special day for launching lanterns, where guests can launch them themselves.
*The lantern launch may be canceled in the event of bad weather such as strong winds, heavy snowfall, or heavy rain.
*One lantern will be launched per group of participants. (If you are participating alone, you will launch the lantern with one other participant or a local staff member.)
