Hot Spring Specialties

Enjoy the magnificent view of Mt. Fuji
This is a simple open-air hot spring about 700m above sea level. There are two baths: "Kocchi no Yu" made of wood and rock, and "Acchi no Yu" which is about twice as large and offers a dynamic view. "Kocchi no Yu" has a view of Mt. Kabutoyama to the right and Mt. Fuji directly ahead across the Kofu Basin, while "Acchi no Yu" has Mt. Fuji to the right, Mt. Daibosatsurei to the left, and the eastern part of the Kofu Basin stretching out below. Not only is it beautiful during the day, with its seasonal scenery, but the views after sunset are also fantastic. You can enter one hour before sunrise, so you can enjoy the sunrise over the sacred Mt. Fuji from the open-air bath.

Hot Springs

The beauty of the starry sky and night view after sunset is also particularly noteworthy.
This hot spring is famous for its view of Mt. Fuji, but the splendor of bathing after sunset is also legendary. The Kofu Basin is one of the places with the "New Top Three Night Views of Japan" (selected by the non-profit organization "New Top Three Night Views of Japan / Top 100 Night Views Secretariat"), and the magnificent night view looking down from Hottarakashi Onsen, about 700m above sea level, is a masterpiece. The owner has kept the lighting in the washing area low-key, so when the star-filled sky is lit up, you will feel as if you are embraced by the sparkling lights in front of you and above your head. It is open until 10pm, so you can enjoy it at your leisure while soothing away the fatigue of the day.
