In the open-air bath at Teshirasawa Onsen in Okukinu Onsenkyo, known as a hidden hot spring, you can enjoy the sounds of nature in the silence of the stream, insects, deer calls, wind and trees rustling. Furthermore, as it is a mountain lodge located at an altitude of 1,400m, the air is clear and undisturbed by city lights. Therefore, from the rock-built open-air bath, you can see a beautiful starry sky and a shining white moon. Many guests come to take astronomical photographs for this purpose.

Trekking around Kinunuma, where virgin forests and waterfalls are the highlights
The route from Meotobuchi Onsen to Kinunuma via Nikko Onsen is a popular trekking course. Oroosoroshi Falls, which can be viewed from the observation deck along the way, is an impressive sight, with a single white waterfall cascading down into the deep black primeval forest in the distance. Kinunuma, dotted with 48 ponds of various sizes, is 2,039m above sea level. The surrounding area is a silver fir forest, and together with the Kinunuma Marshland, it has been designated a national park special protection area. On this course, you can also choose to head to Marunuma from Yuzawa Pass, and the view of Hinataosoroshi Falls from the observation deck is truly majestic.
