Hot Spring Specialties

Each store offers its own unique hot spring manju
Kinugawa Onsen boasts a wide variety of onsen manju. The reason is that each shop has its own unique flavor. There are jet black manju made with black sesame and charcoal kneaded into the dough, manju with candied plums on top and chestnuts and crushed chestnuts in the dough underneath, and red rice topped with chestnuts wrapped in slightly sweet manju dough. Not only do they look different, but they also taste different.

Hot Springs

If you're in good shape, take a stroll around the hot spring town and visit the Five Bridges
A stamp rally around the five bridges that span the Kinugawa Onsen town is held every year from Apr. to Mar. of the following year. The rally is about 6km long and takes about two hours to walk. You can enjoy different views from each bridge, including the 100m-high Tateiwa Bridge, the thrilling Takimi Bridge, and the Kinugawa Bridge that spans the northernmost part of the hot spring town. If you take your stamp book to the tourist information center after filling it with stamps, you will receive a mini commemorative handprint. Strolling around while enjoying a bath is also fun.
