Shodoshima Onsen

This is the general name for the hot springs that gush forth on Shodoshima Island, and there are six different names for the hot springs, depending on the source. There are also baths that you can drop in to, so you can visit all the hot springs on the island.

Konpira Hot Springs

The hot springs were discovered in 1997, and have become popular as a tourist spot where you can enjoy both worship and the hot springs. The water, which gushes out from three sources at about 400 liters per minute, is colorless, transparent, and feels smooth on the skin.

Naruto Onsen

They feature open-air baths and observation baths with panoramic views of the Naruto Strait and the Onaruto Bridge. Some inns also offer a variety of baths, including citrus baths.

Iya Onsen

This hot spring resort is home to Iya Onsen, a famous hidden hot spring that can be reached by cable car and has a spectacular open-air bath.

Dogo Onsen
​

You should definitely visit the Dogo Onsen, along with the sound of the morning bath drums.

Okudogo Dogo Onsen

Located in the mountains about 4km away from Dogo Onsen it is also known as the "Beauty Hot Spring." It has multiple hot springs with different spring qualities and boasts an abundant supply of hot water.

Ashizuri Onsen

A high-quality natural hot spring containing radon that gushes out from the "steam beach." It is said that Kobo Daishi soothed his fatigue here, and the hot spring was discovered about 1,200 years ago.
