上品にゆずが香る甘さ控えめの求肥餅
お土産として評判の高い「箱根強羅もち」は、強羅駅から強羅公園に向かう坂道にある「石川菓子舗」の手作りの和菓子。ふわりと柔らかな食感の求肥に、細かく刻んだようかんが入ったもので、上品な甘さとほんのりとしたゆずの香りが絶妙だ。大量生産ができないので、その日作った分のみの販売だが、確実に手に入れるにはやはり予約をするのがおすすめ。美しいパッケージと、誰もに喜ばれる優しい味がうれしい。

箱根の山を華麗に彩る季節の風物詩
箱根登山鉄道の沿線は、昭和30年代より鉄道有志が手植えしたアジサイが約1万株も連なっており、花の見頃の6月中旬頃より夜間のライトアップが行なわれ、「あじさい列車」として親しまれている。ゆっくりと登る電車の車窓に届きそうな高さで咲き誇るアジサイは、初夏の箱根の風物詩。また8月16日には、箱根全山の送り火である大文字焼が明星ヶ岳の山頂に浮かび、華麗な花火とともに夏の夜空を彩る。夏の強羅温泉は、楽しみが深い。
