Hot Spring Specialties

The inn's specialty: pitch black hot spring eggs
A specialty of Toshichi Onsen is the "flavored black hot spring eggs" sold at the inn's front desk. The temperature of the spring water is 90 degrees, so eggs can be boiled right there. The black exterior is due to the iron in the hot spring combining with the egg shell. The saltiness and soft-boiledness are both perfect, and eating them with a beer is one of the pleasures of a stay.

Hot Springs

A place that thanks Hachiman Daibosatsu for its beauty.
Hachiman-numa, not far from Toshichi Onsen, is located near the top of Hachimantai mountain and is the largest crater lake swamp among the lakes of Hachimantai. Surrounded by virgin forests of Abies sachalinensis, Abies sachalinensis, and Japanese boxwood, it is a mysterious place. Around the swamp, alpine plants such as Mizubashou, Nikkohkisuge, Chinguruma, and Watasuge bloom one after another from the thawing of the snow until summer. Wooden paths have been maintained so that visitors can walk around the area with light clothing without getting lost, making it a great place to enjoy a walk in nature.
