Hot Spring Specialties

Milk dishes that reflect the dairy farmers' passion
The Konsen Plateau in eastern Eastern Hokkaido is one of Japan's leading dairy farming regions. Nakashibetsu Town in particular is renowned for producing delicious milk, with 40 dairy farms operating in the Yoroushi region. The hotels in Yoroushi Onsen serve "Yoroushi Pasture Milk" from Yamamoto Farm, where the cows are kept free-range 365 days a year and mainly fed with self-produced pasture grass, and also offer milk dishes using approximately 400ml per person. Guests can enjoy delicious milk dishes rich with the bounty of the earth, such as milk tofu made from precious colostrum, milk yosenabe, and potatoes simmered in milk.

Hot Springs

A secret, atmospheric hot spring that was the setting for a popular movie
The 2009 film "Tsuribaka Nisshi 20 Final" was set in Hokkaido and featured passionate performances from actor Nishida Toshiyuki as "Hamacchan" and the late Mikuni Rentaro as "Susan." A press conference for the main cast was held at Yoroushi Onsen, and a banquet scene was shot at the Fujiya Inn. A Hokkaido location press conference was also held with cast members Matsuzaka Keiko, Fukiishi Kazue, and Tsukamoto Takashi. Yoroushi no Yu is also a soothing spot for the great actors and staff who worked hard on the final film in the series.
