Hot Spring Specialties

A popular tourist spot with a mysterious sight
The Shirogane Blue Pond, with its dead trees growing straight out of the surface of the blue pond and creating a mystical sight, has become a popular tourist spot in the area of Biei Shirogane Onsen in recent years. The particles that are generated by the mixture of the groundwater that flows through Shirahige Falls and the water of the Biei River reflect sunlight and appear a vivid blue color. The Biei River flowing in the background is also a pale blue color, and many people visit with their cameras to capture the beautiful scenery along with the Blue Pond.
