Originally from Nara-Prefecture, she became obsessed with hot springs after falling ill while working as an office worker. She has visited over 2,500 hot springs both in Japan and overseas. She loves going alone to secret and outdoor hot springs that no one else visits, and she spends almost all of her free time visiting hot springs.
