These soft-shelled turtles are raised stress-free in this rare, extra-deep water hot spring, which contains a variety of vitamins and minerals, and are highly nutritious, containing not only collagen, but also more than 13 types of vitamins, protein, unsaturated fatty acids, and other noteworthy nutrients. As they are raised in the hot spring, they are popular for their little odor and tender flesh. Try eating them in a soft-shelled turtle hot pot or in soft-shelled turtle porridge.

At Yakedake Onsen, the light-up event "Oku-Hida Yukihotaru" will be held from late Nov. to mid Mar.. The trees, snow, and ice formations that are usually a tranquil world surrounded by the mountains of Oku-Hida will be lit up brilliantly during this time. Everyone will be fascinated by the world of light-up illusions, including the fantastic shower of a frozen waterfall.
