Hot Spring Specialties

A spacious park where you can relax with nostalgic architecture and nature
The park where Komaki Onsen is located is a vast area of approximately 77,000 square meters, and is filled with deep forests frequented by wild birds, the retro-modern "Former Shibusawa Residence" designated as a tangible cultural property, the "Nambu Magaya" stables and residence combined, and a pond reflecting the time and shadows, creating a refreshing and nostalgic atmosphere. It is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday, with a farm where you can enjoy harvesting, a ranch where you can see horses, and a footbath along the path where you can rest your feet while looking out at the Nambu red pine forest.

Hot Springs

An elegant building dedicated by a master craftsman to a financial giant
The former Shibusawa residence was built in 1878 by Shimizu Kisuke in Fukuzumi-cho, Fukagawa. It was moved to Mita Tsunamachi, where a Western-style building was added in 1930, designed by Nishimura Yoshitoki. This elegant building, which was later used as the official residence of the Minister of Finance and the first official government residence, was moved to its current location in 1991 and designated a tangible cultural property of Rokunohe Town in 2009. The Western-style building, which is skillfully integrated with authentic Japanese architecture, is not only a residence for a prominent financial figure, but is also a valuable cultural heritage of modern master craftsmen. The elegant technique and appearance seen in the restrained expression are highlights.
