Hot Spring Specialties

新たな名物料理「田沢湖あじゃら鍋」
「田沢湖あじゃら鍋」は、2008年の田沢湖高原雪祭りの鍋コンテストで優勝した新グルメ。角館町の安藤醸造元の「岩魚しょっつる」を使った白だしのスープに、甘酒やしょうがを加える。具は比内地鶏のつくね、地元のしめじ、白菜、長ねぎ、水菜など。名前は、田沢湖地域で祝いの席に出る「あじゃら」という伝統料理から付けられた。締めにはスープに黒ごまと稲庭うどんを入れ、稲庭ごまうどんとして食す。

勇壮な双龍みこしと花火は必見
田沢湖で開催される夏祭りが「たざわ湖・龍神まつり」。田沢湖にまつわる辰子姫と八郎潟の太郎の伝説を題材とした、2体の龍神みこしが練り歩く「双龍の出会い」や、勇壮な龍神太鼓が披露される。そして辰子・八郎太郎の再会を祝うかのように、豪快な湖上花火の饗宴「たざわ湖大花火」も催される。至近距離の台から上がる打ち上げ花火や、水中爆破花火などが続々登場。また、特産品販売、露店も出て、多くの人で賑わう。
