Minami-Aso Railway is a railway company operated as a third-sector company funded by local governments along the line. The area along the line is rich in spring water, and you can enjoy a walk while enjoying the refreshing scenery. Tatsuno Dam is currently under construction as a run-of-water dam for the purpose of flood control to prevent flooding in the Shirakawa River basin. Destinations vary depending on the tour, so please check the itinerary.
There are lots of unique features that only an original event can offer!
- Take part in a rail walk guided by Minami-Aso Railway staff!
- We will guide you through Tatsuno Dam, which is currently under construction, with commentary.
- At Tatsuno Dam you will be given a commemorative "Dam Card (under construction)."
