Dogo Onsen is said to be the oldest hot spring in Japan, and is even mentioned in the "Nihon Shoki." The symbol of Dogo Onsen is the "Dogo Onsen Main Building." The main building is imposing, and the building is decorated with a legendary white heron in the Shinrokaku, and the sound of a drum at 6am every morning signals the opening of the facility, creating an atmosphere of a historic hot spring.
