Nagasaki City is a city that has developed through overseas trade since the arrival of Portuguese ships in 1571 and exchanges with the West. Nagasaki Confucius Temple was built in 1893 and is the only Confucius temple built by a Chinese person overseas. With the assistance of the Confucius Temple in Qufu, Eastern Province, Chinese government, a unique temple was created in 1982 that combines the architectural styles of southern and northern China.

On certain days during the Nagasaki Lantern Festival, the Nagasaki Confucius Temple Chinese History Museum will be decorated to celebrate the Chinese New Year (Lunar New Year) and the venue will be rented out exclusively to enjoy the "Interactive Dragon Dance," "Kokyu Evening," and "Secret Traditional Performing Arts and Mask-Changing Show." There will also be souvenir and Light meal stalls. (Some content may change depending on the weather.)
