Hakuba is surrounded by the magnificent nature of the Northern Alps

Hakuba's nature shows different faces with each season. The best time to see autumn leaves in Hakuba is from late Sep. to late Oct.. The leaves gradually change color from the higher elevations to the foothills. When snow falls on the peaks of the Northern Alps, you can sometimes see a magnificent three-tiered view of autumn leaves: the white of the snow on the Northern Alps, the red and yellow of the leaves on the mountainside, and the green of the foothills.

• Take a night stroll on the Hakuba Goryu Night Gondola
• Early morning at Usagidaira on the Happo-one Ridge. Depending on the weather, you may be able to see a sea of clouds.
• Happoike Pond reflecting the three mountains of Hakuba on its surface

Enjoy a nighttime aerial stroll on the Telecabin gondola lift that spans "Hakuba Goryu" and head to Alps-daira, located at an altitude of about 1,500 meters. You can enjoy stargazing and the alpine botanical gardens at night.
Furthermore, you can go to Hakuba Happo-one in the early morning. Take the gondola to Usagidaira at an altitude of 1,400 meters and enjoy a breakfast made with Hakuba ingredients. After that, take the lift and enjoy a hike to the mystical Hakuba Happo-ike pond.

• At night in Hakuba Goryu, you will be treated to cold-brewed coffee made with natural water.
• Early in the morning at Hakuba Happo-one we serve rice balls made with Hakuba Koshihikari rice, the famous Happo soup, and other local breakfasts!
