The Goto Islands, located to the west of Nagasaki Prefecture, consist of approximately 150 islands of various sizes.
The three southern islands of the five main islands, Fukue Island, Hisaka Island, and Naru Island, and the surrounding islands, are called "Shimogoto." Fukue Island is dotted with churches that live on the history of hidden Christians. Most of "Kamigoto," located in the northern part of the Goto Islands in Nagasaki Prefecture, is designated as Saikai National Park, and the views of the coastal cliffs and Wakamatsu Seto that stretches out on the west coast are breathtaking.
