"Spiny Lobster" is a luxury food that is delicious whether eaten raw, grilled or boiled.
When you hear the word "Ise lobster," many people may think of Ise in Mie Prefecture, but Chiba Prefecture is also one of Japan's leading producers. In fact, Chiba Prefecture has a track record of being number one in the nation in terms of landed catches. The lobster's flesh is firm and firm, having been trained by the Kuroshio Current, and is characterized by its firm texture.
Chiba's spiny lobsters are known by different names depending on the region, such as "Sotobo spiny lobster" or "Boshu shrimp," and they play an important role in revitalizing towns and livening up events.
For example, "Tateyama New OMOTENASHI Premium Local Gourmet" is a project in which Tateyama City proposes new local gourmet dishes that focus on locally produced ingredients. One of these dishes is the "Tateyama Lobster Steak Gozen," which uses a generous amount of lobster.
A luxurious meal with lobster steak, lobster rice porridge, three kinds of sashimi, two side dishes, pickles, and dessert. You can adjust the doneness of the lobster steak yourself. Enjoy the texture by having it rare, or cook it thoroughly to taste the sweetness.
Well, fishing season finally begins this month! Be sure to come and try Chiba's spiny lobster!
The natural beauty of Yoro Valley, chosen as one of Japan's 100 most beautiful geological sites
Yoro Valley is located almost in the middle of the Boso Peninsula. The valley is home to Yoro Onsen, the largest hot spring resort in Boso, and is blessed with scenic spots known as the Yoro Eight Scenic Spots, including the Kobundo Cave Ruins, Awamata Falls and Kannon Bridge. The valley is dotted with waterfalls and is said to be filled with negative ions. It is also popular as a healing spot.
A walk along the well-maintained promenade is especially recommended. In addition to the wonderful views from spring to fall, the area is crowded with people seeking blessings from the waterfalls. How about taking a trip to a waterfall created by nature that cannot be seen anywhere else, while being healed by negative ions?
The "100 Best Geological Sites in Japan" are selected by the Committee for the Selection of the 100 Best Geological Sites in Japan to showcase Japan's valuable natural resources from a geological viewpoint.
