Kanazawa's most photogenic tourist spot
Higashi Chaya District is one of the most popular tourist areas in Kanazawa. The sight of rows of red-lacquered townhouses is like another world. While it retains its former appearance as a bustling teahouse district, new shops and stylish cafes are constantly appearing, making it a place that visitors will never tire of. A teahouse is not a place to drink tea or a shop that sells tea, but a social gathering place for adults where geisha entertain customers with their elegant and refined art. You may think that since you've come all the way there, you'd like to try out the teahouse, but unfortunately, the custom of not allowing first-time visitors is still observed. However! At Kaikaro, the largest teahouse building in Kanazawa, there are days when the "Enyukai" event is open to the public, where even first-time visitors can experience teahouse fun. The gorgeous interior, including the teahouse with tatami mats woven with gold leaf, the Wajima lacquer staircase, and Kaga Yuzen, is a must-see. Be sure to visit for a unique experience that can only be had in Higashi Chaya District.
Enjoy fresh seafood from Ishikawa on the spot
Ikiki Fish Market is a lively market loved by locals where you can buy seasonal seafood, mainly Kano crab, hairy box crab, blackthroat seaperch, rock oysters, winter yellowtail, and sweet shrimp... You can buy carefully selected local fish and other seafood according to the season. The fish are lined up in the store just three hours after they are caught. Naturally, they are extremely fresh! The market is always bustling with locals and tourists looking to buy souvenirs. The highlight is the Yatai-dokoro, which opened this year. This is an eat-in space where you can enjoy the fresh seafood that is wholesaled to Ikiki Fish Market, which you could not eat until now unless you went to a nearby restaurant. Every day, different exquisite gourmet dishes are lined up, such as nigiri sushi, seafood bowls, blackthroat seaperch baked in foil, sardine tempura, and flatfish with thickened sauce. You can eat in the eat-in corner, or take out. Please enjoy the delicious freshly caught fish.

Independent Travel (Organized by Kinki Nippon Tourist)
One of the recommended tourist destinations in Ishikawa Prefecture is Kanazawa, a historic city also known as Little Kyoto.
There are many quaint tourist spots, such as Kenrokuen Garden, Kanazawa Castle Park, the remains of Nagamachi Samurai Residences, and Higashi Chaya District.
The Kanazawa 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, where you can enjoy contemporary art by artists such as Andy Warhol and Yayoi Kusama, is also a must-see.
On the nature-rich Noto Peninsula, we also recommend Chirihama Nagisa Driveway, where you can experience the dynamic action of driving along the ocean's edge.
Shiroyone Senmaida in Oku-Noto offers a spectacular view of small rice fields stretching along the coast, and was the first area in Japan to be recognized as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Site.
